Anything about Luis Gutierrez ... share it. Be accurate and fair. Well, as fair as Fast Louey can be! ;D

Good ol' Louie... The Self Proclaimed "Martyr" I think people are starting to see through his act. He needs to spend less time on tv and more time working on the real issues. I think he forgot he represents the fourth congressional district... He visits every part of the country except the area he represents.

What did gutierrez ever do for the residents of Cicero or even for Mexican Americans for that matter? He is Puerto Rican and doesn't have to worry about immigration. But he sure plays the political game with immigration. It gets him votes. SO does dividing the Mexican community.

Hey Ricardo ... heres the text from the online expose on Congressman Gutierrez. Also, having separate chat boards on each works. You can post in all of them if you like. Just be nice.
Highlights from Gutierrez's extensive record of pay-to-play politics and gaming the system:
"Congressman's $200,000 loan" (Chicago Tribune, Oct. 29, 2008). "U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez personally lobbied Mayor Richard Daley to back a controversial multimillion-dollar development for a campaign contributor who had just lent the congressman $200,000 in a real estate deal, a Tribune investigation has found. Now the congressman's unusual gesture of support is under federal scrutiny..."
"U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez has made more than $420,000 on real estate deals; Many are done with campaign contributors" (Chicago Tribune, Dec. 8, 2008)
"Gutierrez has bought and sold properties with five campaign donors, including convicted political fundraiser Antonin 'Tony' Rezko."
"U.S. Rep. Gutierrez's amazingly low property taxes" (Chicago Tribune, Aug. 4, 2008)
U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez was featured in columns by Tribune columnist John Kass for paying only $275 in yearly property taxes on a $340,000 home. For two years, prior to Kass' discovery Gutierrez's house was listed as a vacant lot on Cook County property tax records.

Second City Cop Blog writes this about Congressman Luis Gutierrez: Gang Art Goes to DC If there was any doubt in anyone's mind that Luis Gutierrez is a gang supporter, this should put it to rest: A teen's piece of art that was chosen, and then disqualified, to adorn Chicago's vehicle stickers amid concerns of gang imagery is headed to the complex of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Herbie Pulgar, 15, and his mother will travel to D.C. this week at the request of Rep. Luis Gutierrez. The Chicago Democrat chose Pulgar's design, which the teen said honors police officers, firefighters and paramedics, to represent the district as part of the 2012 Congressional Art Contest. “Herbie is a great kid who deserves recognition and praise for this wonderful and positive piece of art. I think it’s a credit to Herbie and his family that he chose to honor Chicago’s first responders and I’m very proud to have his artwork represent the Fourth Congressional District in Washington, D.C.," Gutierrez said in a statement. No mention of Herbie's arrests. Numerous arrests that is. The ones where he admits to being a gang banger. And his gang is going to get national recognition. Gutierrez needs to be shown the door next time he runs for reelection.
